SUMMER BEACHLIFE - BEACHTENNIS
RULES OF THE GAME
Here you will find the rules that apply to Summer BeachLife - Beach Tennis.

We use two types of rules, which may differ slightly. This is because the ranking tournaments must be played according to the KNLTB rules. For recreational tournaments, we have complete freedom in the regulations.

General Competition Rules for Beach Tennis
-
Players register before the tournament, and the tournament director assigns the teams to their category.
-
The basic principle is that in a ranking tournament/premier league, the teams play for two tiebreak sets won. The third set is played as a match tiebreak (tiebreak up to 10).
-
We do not play by time.
-
The rules of beach tennis apply. The rules for recreational tournaments may sometimes differ, but are generally the same everywhere.
-
Participants are expected to behave in a sportsmanlike manner (fair play).
-
In the event of a dispute regarding the application of the rules, the tournament director reserves the right to make a ruling. Participants participate in the tournament at their own risk. Participants are expected to be in reasonable physical condition, with physical exertion (multiple matches in one weekend) not hindering their performance.
-
If weather conditions require adjustments to the tournament regulations, the tournament organizers reserve the right to make and implement these adjustments.
-
The tournament will be scheduled on toernooi.nl.
-
In addition to the ranking tournament, a recreational tournament will also be held.
-
The organizer will determine the placement based on the ranking.
-
International participants are welcome; however, they will not earn points for the KNLTB ranking. They will earn points for the SummerBeachLife ranking.
-
Final standings in the pool will be determined as follows:
Super tiebreak counts as (7-6).
Number of matches won
Balance of sets
Balance of games won/lost
Head to head
Coin flip.
Player Admission
-
Tournaments can be held throughout the country, both indoors and outdoors. A minimum of 5 teams must participate in a ranking tournament. For a Summer BeachLife recreational tournament, we require a minimum of 3 teams.
-
To participate in a KNLTB ranking tournament, you must be a member of the KNLTB.
-
You can participate in a Summer BeachLife Beach Tennis tournament at any time. You don't need to be a member anywhere.
-
Placement and admission are based on the beach tennis ranking. Teams are admitted based on their beach tennis ranking. The rankings of both teams are added together; the lower the number, the higher the ranking.
-
A ranking tournament has a maximum number of participating teams. Players will be informed about participation one week before the tournament.
-
Wildcards are assigned by the organizers without a reason or explanation.
